The Ocmulgee Heritage Trail is easy to access from almost anywhere in the Middle Georgia Area. The main parking lot for the trail is on Spring St. (Gray Highway). From Downtown Macon, simply head northeast on Spring St. Just across the river on the right is the entrance for the parking area. This parking lot is also easily accessible from the Spring St. exit of I-16. For more extensive directions, please download one of our printable maps.
Amerson Water Works Park is accessible from I-16/I-75 or from Riverside Drive in Macon. From Downtown Macon, head north on Riverside Drive. Turn right onto Pierce Avenue, heading toward the I-75 North ramp. Go under I-75 and turn right onto North Pierce Avenue. Stay straight over the railroad track, and you will dead end into the Park.
