There is a playground on the Trail near the Spring Street parking area. It was completed with the generous assistance of Armstrong International and the 2007 Leadership Macon Class.  There is also a playground located in Central City Park.

In 2008 the Junior League of Macon and Bibb County Medical Society built a KaBOOM! handicap-usable playground at Amerson Water Works Park.  This playground is the only one of its kind in Middle Georgia, and kick-started the development of AWWP.  The playground was dedicated in April 2008, and a grand opening was held in November of that same year, bringing hundreds from the community out to enjoy this wonderful new facility and Macon's newest treasure-Amerson Water Works Park.
